Gene Takagi is a nonprofit attorney and contributing editor and publisher of the Nonprofit Law Blog.  Prior to opening The Law Office of Gene Takagi in 2005, he practiced with the AmLaw 100 firm Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton.  Gene is a former recipient of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Outstanding Barrister of the Year and currently serves on the boards of Community Initiatives (formerly CIF of the San Francisco Foundation) and JCYC.  Gene has a graduate degree in nonprofit administration and a law degree from UCLA.  His article on nonprofit corporate governance was published by the American Law Institute - American Bar Association in June 2008.  Contact Gene for a free copy.
